The adult ministry exists to draw us together as Kingdom builders in our lives, our homes, our jobs, our community, and our church. We strive to be continually growing in our relationship with Christ through prayer, studying His word, fellowship, and service.  Life groups, Bible studies, and prayer gatherings are a great way to grow in faith, practicing accountability and becoming stronger disciples for Christ.

The Senior Teens group at Dayton UMC enjoys food, fun, travel, fellowship, learning and mutual support. The group meets each month on the 3rd Friday at Country Cafe in Lafayette for lunch at 11:00 am and a program. Several times during the year, the Senior Teens take day trips to interesting places such as museums, dinner theater, and even civic locations like a tour of the jail. The age guideline to be a Senior Teen is 55 or older, but that is not a hard rule.

Tom Mellady is the Coordinator. For more information contact the church office 765-296-3155.

M&M stands for the Marthas and Marys among us – those who strive to serve and those who sit in awe at Jesus’ feet. We strive to grow in the faith and grace of our Lord Jesus. We host events such as half-days of prayer, retreats, Bible studies, classes, mentoring, etc. and we serve Him in a myriad of ministries. We would love to have you join us!

SOBA - Single Mom Ministry

SOBA stands for Sick of Being Alone, which is the main complaint of a single mom. Our message to these moms is simple: You are not alone. SOBA is a new ministry for single moms here at Dayton and in our community.

James 1:27 says " Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."   Single moms are the 21st Century widows and orphans and the church is called to care for them.

Grief Group

SOBA In our fallen world, grief is a part of life.  We were never meant to experience grief.  Grief came into our life when death entered our reality in the Garden of Eden.  No one was supposed to die, but when sin entered, so did death.  Grief reveals that something is wrong in this life and points us to find hope and resurrection in Jesus.  Grief comes in many shapes and sizes, but the source of all grief is loss.

If you are dealing with grief, you are invited to a new group that is forming.  Dayton's Grief Group will meet on the third Tuesday of every month at the Church in Conference Room B.  Just come to Door 17 on the Southeast  corner of the church and come on in.  Conference Room B will be on your right.   Brandy Burger and Pastor Eric will be facilitating this group. We look forward to seeing you there.

Christian Counseling available. Please call the Church office.
